About Spyridon Antonopoulos
Dr. Spyridon (Spiro) Antonopoulos is a performer, choir director, and scholar specializing in medieval Byzantine chant. He earned his PhD in Musicology from City, University of London, writing the first full-length study of the fifteenth-century composer Manuel Chrysaphes, and is an Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Performing Arts at City St George’s, University of London. He is founder and director of the vocal ensemble Psaltikon and sings regularly with the internationally acclaimed Cappella Romana, with appearances at the Utrecht Early Music Festival, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and BBC Radio 3. A graduate of Brown University and the New England Conservatory, he has performed across the US, Europe, and the UK.

Outside of music, Spiro is Vice President of Client Solutions and Head of Investigations at Solidus Labs, a market-integrity technology firm, following 15 years of consulting to financial services and insurance clients.
